Avenue Awarded Expanded UDOT Pool Listing for Pre-Construction Engineering

Salt Lake City, Utah - Avenue Consultants has been awarded an expanded UDOT Consultant Pool listing that
includes the category of Pre-construction Engineering. Avenue had previously been awarded pool listings in
the categories of Planning, Traffic Signal Design, and Visualization.
"This expanded listing will provide
additional opportunities for us to continue working with UDOT", said Avenue's President, David Thompson.
"UDOT has always been a great client for us. We are excited to put our skills to work on UDOT pre-construction
projects and to continue our close working relationships with many of UDOT's excellent project managers."

Avenue Announces New Land Development Initiatives

Salt Lake City, Utah - Avenue Consultants announced a number of new land development initiatives today as a
response to the ongoing deterioration of US housing markets. These new initiatives include partnerships with
private capital investment groups, expanded feasibility and entitlement analysis services, and property
acquisition/disposition partnerships.
"When we first introduced our land development services in January, we knew that the road ahead in land
development markets would not be an easy one. Still, we felt a compelling need to get our
name out into the marketplace in anticipation of what we knew would be coming", said Avenue's Principal of
Land Development, Melvin Bodily. "With the deterioration of the residential housing market here in Utah, it is
now clear just how important it was to take these initial steps. There is abundant need in Utah for land
development consultants that can provide timely advice, connections to private financial funding, and
feasibility/entitlements analysis to clients that are actively involved in property acquisition/disposition
activities. Those are the very skills that we bring to the table with these intiatives."
Avenue Selected by West Jordan City for On-call Engineering Services

Avenue Selected by UDOT for Innovative Intersection Study at 5400 South and Redwood Road

Salt Lake City, Utah - Avenue Consultants has recently been selected by UDOT for an innovative intersection study
at 5400 South and Redwood Road in Taylorsville.
"We are always excited to see municipalities and state DOT's take the initiative with regard to evaluating
innovative traffic solutions", said Avenue's President, David Thompson. "Innovative intersections are a wise use
of taxpayer money, and UDOT has been a leader in using innovative concepts to make transportation improvements
more affordable. We are exceptionally pleased to be working with UDOT on this project, and we hope to work on many
more projects like this one in the years to come."
Thompson Transportation Changes Name to Avenue Consultants

Salt Lake City, Utah - Thompson Transportation will be officially changing their corporation name to
Avenue Consultants, Inc. The new name reflects a diversification of services beyond the initial core
transportation services that includes services such as land development engineering, municpal infrastructure
design, and constructability review.
Avenue's President, David Thompson, had the following comments on the name change. "While I have a certain
fondness for the old name, this name change was truly necessary to reflect our ongoing service diversification,
as well as to distance ourselves from the OTR trucking industry. We anticipate that the new name, Avenue
Consultants, will serve us very well into the foreseeable future."
The new name will not affect the legal status of any agreements or contracts made with Thompson Transportation;
however, the firm will be authorizing all contracts under the new name from this date forward.
